Posted June 30, 2011

While rushing around in the hustle and bustle of every day living, many people dream of a different way of life. However, the term ‘paradise’ has a wide variety of meanings for different people.

  • For a mother with a brood of screaming kids the thought of paradise is 10 minutes of peace and quiet.
  • For a person suffering from extended pain, paradise is to have a pain free day.
  • For some school teachers, a long term break free of endless paper-marking and lesson-preparation is their concept of paradise.
  • For an athlete a break for a few days, having won the race, is their type of paradise.
  • For a professional jockey, who has to starve himself in order to retain his weight, sitting down and gorging on a feast of delectable items without gaining any weight, is a paradise to drool over.

And so the list goes on in the hundred and one areas of the stress of modern living.

There is however another definition of paradise.
